ABOUT

US

We have always placed our clients at the centre of our concerns, and we take immense satisfaction from putting our clients at the heart of everything we do.

We aim to provide a high-quality service in a timely, well-informed and practical way.

A C Employment Solicitors is a solicitor’s practice specialising in employment law and was founded in the year 2000 and is a well-established niche practice.

The Principal solicitor, Amanda Capon, has more than 20 years of experience specialising in dealing with employment law issues for employers and employees. Prior to setting up her own niche practice she worked for one of the largest practices in the South Coast as a Specialist Employment Lawyer.

Prior to qualifying, she undertook a secondment with a national retailer employing some 30,000 employees advising senior management on issues from ill health to discrimination and conduct and performance to dismissal guiding management to ensure all procedures and practices were carried out appropriately whilst at the same time advising employees.

Amanda Capon, Employment Law Solicitor Southampton

Amanda spent more than 10 years in business prior to embarking on a legal career, providing her with the experience of dealing with staff issues on a practical basis, which is especially important for any business.  During this period of time, she also was involved in training senior management in personnel and business management issues as well as lecturing on University business degrees.  She is a friendly and approachable solicitor who deals with employment issues from the economic perspective as well as for the good of the business.

Amanda is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the Law Society as well as being a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, London, one of the four Inns of Court in London having been called to the Bar, but practises as a solicitor.

Hence, she has always conducted her own advocacy in the Employment Tribunals. This will mean that you will not be subjected to an increase of legal fees by having to instruct Barristers unnecessarily.

It provides a continuation of representation from the outset avoiding constantly being passed from one solicitor to another due to staff turnover, a practise experienced by many clients when instructing larger firms.

She is also a CEDR qualified Commercial Mediator which is a mediation service that brings parties together to resolve their differences avoiding the inherent costs of litigation.

Amanda also holds a Marketing Diploma and the Diploma in Management Studies alongside other business and teaching qualifications.

In her free time, Amanda plays golf, sails and enjoys cycling and kayaking and spending time with her daughter and family. She has recently project managed a rebuild of her home.
